| We checked in at the Plaza Restaurant at 1130 and they told us to come back at 1150 to secure a pager to tell us when the table was ready. At 1200, we were seated at a table for two in a very small and noisy dining room, right outside the kitchen door. Lew started with a glass of Fess Parker Riesling (11) and a rather mediocre club sandwich (17). I had iced tea (4.29) and a Cheesesteak sandwich (19) that I had to cut with two forks as there was no knife. The sandwich came with house-made chips that were very thick and had no flavor. Clearly, the draw for this restaurant is the dessert menu which is extensive. We’ll bring the boys here for that final course the next time we are all here together. |
