Dinner at Narcoossee's | |||

As we headed out to dinner, we flagged down Nor, and he gave us a lift to Narcoossee’s. As often happens, at the end of our WDW vacation, we have lost our capacity for a large meal, so we elected to go with appetizers. Lyd started with scotch and soda (11) and I had bourbon and ginger (11). She moved on to the Artisanal Cheeses (22) of four chef-selected tasting portions, Prosciutto and accompaniments, and Shrimp and Grits (19) of grilled shrimp, BBQ sauce, low country grits, applewood-smoked bacon and pickled green tomato chow-chow. I picked the Maine Lobster Bisque (16) of butter-poached lobster, coral and chervil, and Crispy Rhode Island Calamari (18) with peppadew-banana pepper-olive relish and tomato coulis (not very good!). When we were finished, we called the Bell Desk, and Nor sent a colleague to take us back to the main building and the resort monorail back to the Contemporary. |
