We'll be here until 1800 when we depart for the overnight cruise down the east side of Lake Michigan to Muskegon, MI, arriving, Tuesday, at 0900. No excursions. At 0646, it’s 61o on Mackinac Island. MI. Lyd skipped breakfast. We went down for lunch at 1200. Lyd had a Sauteed Wild Mushroom and Tomato Crostini, followed by Black Bean Soup. For her entrée, she had the Chicken Caprese Sandwich. I also had the Black Bean Soup, followed by a Cheeseburger. I needed something sweet, so I finished with the Peach Melba. We returned to our stateroom for naps and then sat out on our verandah and enjoyed the scenes of the harbor. Shepler’s ferries and Arnold Freight transport people and goods, respectively between Mackinac Island and Saint Ignace, MI. At 1630, we departed Mackinac Island. At 1710, we passed under the Mackinac Bridge (I-75) from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. We went down to dinner. I started with the Roasted Beet Salad, and we both had the Minestrone Soup. We both chose the Pan-Seared Snapper Filet, and both found it too dry. Lyd finished with the Pecan Pie and I had the Raspberry Mousse. At 2100. It’s 68o.
