The Plan: We'll have breakfast in the hotel and, I suspect, ACL will take us on a tour of Chattanooga, arriving at the boat in time for lunch. We'll depart Chattanooga at 1430, headed for Decatur, AL, going through the Nickajack and Guntersville Locks..

ROUGH DRAFT We got up a few minutes before six in Chattanooga, TN, and went down to breakfast at seven in the basement. It was rather poor, and they ran out of food before most of the passengers had been served. We returnedto the room for our scheduled excursion at 11: Bill join us and we went down to sit outside until it was time to board the buses to go to the boat. I used a golf cart to get from the bus to the boat. Upon arrival at the American Symphony we went directly to the room. Some of our luggage for sale and the rest arrive shortly thereafter. Lunch was the traditional seafood salad. We have come to expect on American Cruise Lines. Add 1345 captain conducted an emergency egress drill and we went to the forward River lounge on deck three. At 1400. We set sale from Chattanooga, Tennessee bound for Decatur Alabama. Following brief naps we went down for cocktails in the river lounge forward and then on to dinner in the restaurant. Lyd and I both had the spinach salad and the red snapper. During dinner we moved from the eastern time zone to the central time zone. By 2030 eastern which is 1930 central we were back in the room and down for the night.
