| The Plan: We'll arrive in Grand Rivers, KY at 0900. Roy Hensel, his daughter, and son-in-law will come for lunch. We depart at 1800, headed to Nashville, TN. | |||
| ROUGH DRAFT At 0600 it’s 69o some three hours south of Grand River. Lydia and I had a continental breakfast in the sky lounge. Breezes and lower temperatures suggested we cancel the horse and carriage tour of Grand River. Roy Hensel arrived about 1130, and we went down to greet him and bring him aboard. They were to have sent him a QR code to aid in boarding, but he didn’t have it, so there was some delay. We visited and reminisced before going down to the dining room at noon for lunch. We all had ribs and then went to the front deck on three for more reminiscing. Roy left at 1415, and I went down for a nap. At 1615 I awoke and went to the sky lounge to pick up a drink and then to the back deck to read a while. At 1700, we left Grand River headed for Nashville. We skipped cocktails and went directly down to dinner. Lydia and Bill each had the Cornish Hens and I had the Braised beef, which was quite good. Following dinner, we went back up to the fourth floor and I went out on the back deck. At 2000 with the temperature dropping, we returned to the stateroom for the evening. At 2020 it’s 76o. |
