| ROUGH DRAFT At 0600, it’s 75° in Savannah,TN and we had rain for much of the night. Having heard nothing from Roy Hensel. I texted his demographic information to the cruise director for tomorrow’s lunch visit. Lydia and I had a light continental breakfast in the sky lounge. I texted Roy and he confirmed that he is the only one coming to lunch tomorrow. At 0815 we boarded a bus headed for the Shiloh battlefield. We had a talkative guide on board the bus and I purchased two night shirts at the Corinth national Park headquarters. We had lunch at Hattie’s Hotel of catfish, chicken tenders, hush puppies, salad and tea. We reboarded the bus and continued through the park getting a narration of the battle. We were back at the boat at 1345 just in time to go up to the sky lounge for a Nutty Irishman. While we were gone, the American splendor tied up next to us at the Savannah Landing. I had a nice nap and then we went down for cocktails. Included in the hors d’oeuvres for the evening we’re stone crab claws. We went down to dinner at about 1830. Lydia and Bill each had the ribeye steak and I had pork chop. At 1930, we went up to the back deck to discover that on deck three the back deck is a smoking area with a cigar! At 2030 it was too dark to sit out on the aft deck so we moved to our balcony. At 2045, it’s 73°. |
