Holiday Greetings
2004

We don't send Christmas newsletters (though we do like to get them!).  Therefore, once again, this year I decided to use the technology of the day, including links.  Strictly speaking, this is not a Christmas letter.  Those are missives in a pleasant type face, on fancy holiday paper, carefully folded and sent through snail-mail with something attached called a "postage stamp", what ever that is!

Lyd continues at James Weldon Johnson Middle School teaching 7th grade science to the gifted and I'm still the Director of Research Services for the Duval County Public Schools.  Kate is doing her internships in various disciplines and will finish her degree as a Physician Assistant in May of 2005. Sal is at George Washington Carver High School for Computer Science and Mathematics in Philadelphia, his 3rd and final year.

Lydia's birthday weekend was spent at the Sea Turtle Hotel at Atlantic Beach. I 'm still moderating Brain Brawl and Lee High School won, in this, our 26th year. I'm still officiating at the Commissioner's Academic Challenge and the Panasonic Academic Challenge. We re-modeled the loft with Cape May-style furniture and Lyd spent Spring Break with her mother. I'm still on the board of directors of Junior Achievement here in Jacksonville, and Secretary of Jacksonville Sister Cities Association.   We celebrated our anniversary at the Sea Turtle in August.  Bonnie, Charlie, Frances, Ivan & Jeanne spared us any real damage.  My mother, Audrey, took a cruise in October to Key West and the Bahamas.  Lyd and I spent the Veterans' Day weekend in Philadelphia with Kate and Sal, and we'll be spending Christmas in Salisbury, Maryland with Lyd's mother, Margaret.

Well, that is 2004, at least up to December 12.  Have a happy holiday.

Tom, Lydia and Charlie
