Whereas Lyd's birthday, the 16th, will find Tom in the hospital, Margaret has decided to celebrate it early at 213. Joel, a new staff member, was our server.
Dewars and Soda
Margaret started with Dewar's and Soda, (10) in an oval glass.
Tanqueray Martini
Lyd chose a Tanqueray Martini (10).
Manhattan
Tom had his Marker's Mark Manhattan (10).
Amuse Bouche
The Amuse Bouche was a peppery yellow squash soup.
Foie Gras
We each had the Pan Seared Foie Gras, pan seared fresh foie gras served with organic field greens and an eighteen year-old apple-balsamic vinegar glaze. Accompanied by a glass of Eagle Eye Vineyards Muscat Canelli (22).
Sorbet
The Sorbet was a Blood Orange sherbet.
Lobster Nage
Lyd and Margaret had the Lobster Nage, a whole Maine lobster, steamed, meat removed, and finished with a tarragon perblanc sauce, served over angel hair pasta. (40)
Bison
Tom chose the American Bison Steak, center cut, grilled and served with mushroom potatoes, roasted garlic timbale and julienne carrots, finished with a black truffle sauce (36).
