Christmas #1 in Maryland
12/22-28/2010
Bill flew in from Denver on the 22nd. His flight left Denver 30 minutes late but had a great tail wind. We picked him up from the Salisbury airport at 1730 and delivered him to Margaret's house.
He'll be here through the 28th.
On Thursday, the 23rd, Margaret hosted a dinner party at Restaurant 213. Friday, the 24th, Christmas Eve dinner was at our house.
Saturday, Christmas Day, we had the traditional Law's Breakfast at Margaret's and opened gifts.
Bill and Margaret arrived, Saturday night, at 1645 for Christmas dinner. Vic and Jean dropped in, unannounced, at 1700 for drinks, just as it started snowing. We awoke Sunday morning, the 26th, to about an inch of snow, though plenty more is in the forecast. We were going to have a Maryland Oyster Roast at our house with a salmon dinner later in the evening, weather permitting, but the salmon dinner was postponed by the snow.
Monday, the 27th, Margaret was to have hosted all of us at her house for dinner, but the weather cancelled all of that and we each stayed home, safe from the weather.
Lyd and I were up at 0500 on Tuesday morning and slipped out of the house without awakening Kate, Sal or Nico. We picked up Bill at Margaret's at 0530 and delivered him to the Salisbury airport about 20 15 minutes later. His flight arrived in Denver at 1400, our time, about an hour late.
