Lyd has picked Chef Fred for dinner for the five of us. Margaret and I started with cups of the Cream of Crab Soup (4.95) which Margaret found way too thick for her likes. Victor had a cup of the soup de jour, a Vegetable Beef (3.50). Lyd had the 8 oz Filet Mignon (23.95) with a loaded baked potato (2.50). I had the 8oz New Yorker (18.95). Elaine chose the Prime Rib, First Mate’s cut (16.95) and said it was very good. Margaret selected the Jumbo Fried Shrimp (19.95) with a loaded Baked Potato (2.50) but found the shrimp to be rather poor. Victor had the Crab Cake Sandwich (12.95). Though Elaine was pleased, the rest of us gave the dinner a grade of C-. |
