At 0630, my cellphone alarm awakened us.
We dressed quickly and the hotel shuttle took us to the airport and to the AirTran departure area.
When we unloaded and secured a skycap, wheelchair and cart for the baggage, another passenger put her bag on our cart, indicating to the skycap that it had already been checked in, online.
When we got to the bag check, she was no where to be seen.
We explained that the lady was not with us and we didn’t know her.
Whereas she never showed an ID or boarding pass, we doubt her bag was ever loaded on whatever flight for which she was bound—terrorist???.
Security was relatively easy as the skycap took us through a shorter line for wheel chairs.
Lyd left her iPad at security and had to go back for it.
The breakfast she found is not worth describing.
She and Margaret took a potty break just before boarding, so we were the last people boarded.
Therefore, there was no room for Margaret’s walker and it had to be stowed.
We departed BWI on AirTran 491, on time, bound for Orlando.
Two hours later (and 30 minutes early), we landed on 35R at MCO.
A skycap was waiting with a wheel chair for Margaret and they headed for the baggage area while I secured the rental car, a 2011 Nissan Altima.
I finally broke out the instruction manual to learn how to start the car.
We headed for WDW, stopping at the Animal Kingdom to get some nightshirts at the Rain Forest Café Gift Shop.
We pulled into the Contemporary at 1330, too early for the room.
We had a light lunch at the Wave (chili and soup) and finally made it into room 7634 in Bay Lake Tower at 1500.
Whereas we were still dressed for pre-dawn Baltimore (39F), we were way over dressed for early-afternoon WDW (81F).
After changing into summer clothes, I journalized while the women napped. Dinner at The California Grill. | |||||||||
