At 0550, it’s 68 and we’re approaching the dock at Yorktown.
We were tied up and the gangplank over the side by 0630.
We went down for tea and coffee and then went on to breakfast.
We started with smoked salmon. Lyd had Eggs Benedict and I had a variety of eggs, bacon and sausage.
We boarded the bus for Williamsburg at 0900.
Originally, we had planned to go there in the afternoon, but chose the morning instead.
It was still very hot and draining.
Back on the boat for lunch, Lyd had shrimp and grits followed by a crab cake and I had a
green salad and a roast beef sandwich.
We both had afternoon naps and then returned to the Nantucket Lounge for cocktails and entertainment by three musicians from the Yorktown Fife and Drum Corps.
I had heirloom tomatoes and mozzarella followed by stuffed pork loin with
key lime pie. Lyd had the same salad followed by seared scallops and the
flourless chocolate cake.
At 2015, passengers were invited for a tour of the pilot house by the Captain. We’re scheduled to depart for Crisfield at 0400.
