At 0400, with muted voices, we pulled in our lines and left Cambridge. We had the window open and there was no sense of motion until we began to hear the building bow wave. At 0600, I took my teabag to the Nantucket Lounge but was too early, so I proceeded on to the galley for hot water. The ship still has no connectivity with the internet. After breakfast, we walked into St. Michaels and did a little shopping. For lunch, Lyd started with Brunswick Stew and then half a tuna salad sandwich. I had the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad and then the Tuna Salad Sandwich on wheat with lettuce, tomato, with green bean, shaved onion and mandarin orange salad with sherry wine vinaigrette. We skipped dessert and spent the afternoon, leisurely, in our cabin. We went down for cocktails at 1730. For dinner, Lyd had Oysters Rockefeller and I had a mixed greens salad. We both had the Chesapeake Seafood Boil with oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, rock fish, red potato, corn, fennel tomato broth & crusty bread. Lyd retired for the evening and I chatted with some of our young crew by the gang plank. We're scheduled to sail to Annapolis at 0500.
