AGENDA | MINUTES
This was our first real meeting with a quorum. Amanda reviewed the provisions of Council Resolution 744, which establishes our mission. I was elected chairman and Tom Ayd, Vice-Chair. Bill Sterling presented on SHA US 13 Business Phases 5 and 6 Drainage Improvements (Phase 5 is from West College Avenue to north of South Boulevard; Phase 6 is from South Boulevard to Main Street). The committee wants to divert the funding that would establish bike lanes on US 13 to establishing bike lanes at the crossings at College, South, Vine and Carroll. Amanda will draft a letter to the council for my signature asking for s council resolution. Amanda presented information from Maryland Trails Funding Workshop and Transportation Alternatives. We will recommend the council pursue funding to add bike lanes to the existing Camden project on Carroll, Vine, South and College to cross US 13. Matt will coordinate as he did the major research on the original project. Debbie noted that we need an additional meeting to get this on the council’s workshop agenda on March 18, so the committee will meet on March 6th, with the vice-chair as we will be on the Mississippi.
