We introduced Heather Towers, our newest member.
We discussed the progress of the 2 phases of the bike lane project.
The striping for phase 1 has been scheduled at a cost of $6,200.
There will be a press event near the end of September at Camden and College, officially opening the project.
Phase 2 is still under review and funding has not yet been granted by the state.
Don will discuss with the homeowners association near Parsons and Gay the parking congestion in that area.
He will report back at the September meeting, and if warranted, we’ll schedule a public forum in October.
Finally, we discussed the intersection of Camden and South.
Amanda reported it is a low priority for Public Works and traffic counts are not scheduled.
Our next meeting will be September 11 and the committee likes the procedure being followed to set up the meetings.
