At 0530, it's 46 in Quebec. We were up before the 0545 alarm and in the lobby by 0615. We'd no room charges, so there was no bill. To our surprise, we found John, yesterday's tour guide, ready to transport us to the train station. Though the train numbers had changed, our check-in was easy. They don't check baggage on this run, so, when we boarded at 0740, we shlepped the bags ourselves and stowed them in the baggage rack at the entry to car #1. We have seats 5 A&B in a car that's less than 1/2 full. We departed on time at 0805 for our journey south of the St. Lawrence River, through Drummondville to Montreal. Though it was too early for wine, we did have a pair of very nice mushroom omelets with croissants for breakfast. We pulled into Montreal, on schedule. There was neither an escalator nor an elevator from the platform to the main level, but a kind porter helped us with our bags. There we found our driver who whisked us to Montreal's airport. The check-in procedure is fully automated with us affixing our own baggage tags before dropping them at the conveyor transporting them through security to the plane. We progressed through the exit procedure from Canada, airport security and the entry procedure into the USA, all in one room, including a Statue of Liberty. Faced with a lengthy wait for our flight, we went to Houston Avenue Bar and Grill. Following a few rounds of Bombay Martinis and Makers Mark Manhattans (17@) we also enjoyed a chicken salad club sandwich (17). Though scheduled to leave at 1557, our flight to PHL didn't actually leave until almost 1700. In PHL at 1830, we made our way to the "cattle yard" for our final flight to SBY. We boarded at 2100, but it was 2145 before the plane finally was wheels up. We arrived at 2210 and the luggage was quickly secured and we headed home. At 2300, it's 73.
