The alarm went off at 0500 and Lew was already in the shower. We left the house at 0530, driving cautiously to the airport to avoid any deer that might be in the fields. Check in was easy, and, with the new TSA scanner, security was even quicker. Scheduled for 0645, we were in the air 4 minutes early. Piedmont Airlines has replaced the Dash-8 turbo prop with the Embraer jet on the SBY-PHL route. We arrived 15 minutes early and took the ground shuttle to the B terminal and walked out to B9. We boarded at 0750 for our seats in the second row. We left the gate at 0823, 2 minutes early and were wheels up at 0836 for what the pilot reported as a 2:02 duration flight. At 0920, Jennifer, the lead flight attendant, brought drinks of Glenlivet and soda for Lew and Woodford Reserve and ginger for me. This was followed by a light breakfast of Chobani vanilla Greek yogurt with blueberries and an oatmeal cookie. I am not a fan of yogurt, but this was pretty good. At 1043, we landed, some 20 minutes early. Chris Peters, of Mears Transportation met us in baggage claim, and, after a significant wait for our two bags, whisked us to Bay Lake Tower, where we moved into room 7628, on the 6th floor, overlooking The Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom. We went to the Wave Lounge . We returned to the room via Bayview Gifts where we stocked up on booze for the room. Naps followed. We left the room at 1745 and took the monorail over to the Grand Floridian and dinner at Citricos. The fireworks show, Happily Ever After, fired over the Castle, and visible from our balcony, went off at 2100. At 2123, it’s 75 on the shores of Bay Lake.
