We're headed for Animal Kingdom, which, for DVC folks, opens at 0800. Though we couldn't get Fast Passes, we'll head straight for Pandora and the River Ride. From there, we're headed back to the Kilimanjaro Safari, also on Stand-by. We have fast passes for the 1000 Festival of The Lion King. Lunch will be at 1200 at Yak & Yeti, one of our favorites. We'll return to the room for naps before calling a car to take us to Jiko, at 1925, in the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
At 0626, it’s 70 at Walt Disney World. At 0730, we were out of the room headed for the bus to Animal Kingdom. We entered the park at 0813, as a part of Early Magic Hours available to guests staying “on property”, with the park opening to other guests at 9. We headed directly for Pandora and got in the line for the Na’vi River Journey. My Disney Experience reported the wait as 40 minutes. The line moved quickly and the ride was very nice, but not really worth that long a wait. The pre-show waiting line was almost as nice as the ride itself. At 0900, we were out of the ride, facing the tide of guests who had just entered the park, and were running to get in line. We walked out to the Kilimanjaro Safari and, after a wait of 15 minutes enjoyed the ride, seeing lots of animals. We walked back to the Festival of the Lion King and used our fast passes to move to the head of the line. The 10:00 show, as always, was spectacular. We headed over to the Asia section of the park. Although we had reservation for noon at Yak & Yeti, we presented ourselves at their podium and 1100 and were promptly seated. Following lunch, we walked back through the park and took a bus back to Bay Lake Tower and afternoon naps. At 1830, we went to the lobby and Jose, our Uber driver, arrived promptly at 1845 for our trip to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Jiko.
