Home SKDL Thanksgiving Weekend 2017
11/18/2017
SKDL were here for the weekend for an early Thanksgiving.
Friday: SKDL arrived at 2200, and at 2315, we’d all gone to bed.
Saturday: By 0700, everybody was down. We celebrated Sal’s birthday and went to Sakura for lunch. Ken had prepared a gingered butterflied shrimp dish. The guys returned to the house while the ladies went to Vernon Powell to do Kate’s Christmas outfit shopping. FSU whipped Delaware State 77-6 and the boys watched Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back. Linda sent an email that Vic had two stints put in in a cardiac catheterization. Brian is in NYC in a marathon. We secured Come From Away tickets for May. We roasted a beef tenderloin for dinner, and, in the evening, Kate and Sal watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2. At 2130, and 59F, I joined Lew and Buddy in bed.

Sunday: At 0622, it’s 60 and windy, SKDL are here and I’m not feeling very well, my cold symptoms returning. Sal, the boys and I played Monopoly, continuing in the afternoon with Leo the eventual winner with 9 hotels. We had sandwiches for lunch with seafood chowder. They all went over to visit Margaret and, with my energy level dropping, Lew did all the cooking for kung pao pork. SKDL left at 1815 to return to Wyomissing. At 2130, it’s 47.
