At 0639, it’s 40 in Beaufort, SC. Lew skipped breakfast and I ate with last night’s entertainment, Kristin and Billie, and we talked about their story, how much we enjoyed their set and their future, including a name for their duo.
About 0730, I lost contact with our security cameras and surmised we’re without power in Salisbury.
At 1000, I met with Sandra, the guest services coordinator and we discussed a cruise in New England and Canada in September, 2019.
I called Jenn Jordan and she reported 77 homes are without power due to a limb down on South Clairmont Dr.
Delmarva Power is in the neighborhood and hopes to have the power returned “soon.”
We went down at 1230 for lunch and soon thereafter got a text from Jenn that the power was back on after a 5-hour outage.
She reports we got about 7” of snow.
At lunch, we both had an excellent Butternut Squash and Apple Soup followed by a Slow roasted breast of chicken over sweet potato mac and cheese, with braised greens, and bacon-caramelized onion Jus.
We skipped dessert.
