Our eighth cruise with American Cruise Lines is down the Ohio River from Pittsburgh to St. Louis.

We were to get into Pt. Pleasant, WV at 2330. We've elected to stay aboard as the two tours didn't hold a lot of interest. We're to leave at 1230, headed for Maysville, KY.
At 0640, it’s 64 in Pt. Pleasant, WV. I had an early snack in the Sky Lounge and then we went down for breakfast. We elected to skip the day’s tours as not very motivating and I spent most of the morning in the Sky Lounge, Deck 4, aft. Lunch was at 1230. I started with the Spinach Salad with Roasted Grapes, Candied pecans and feta cheese and Lew had the Barley and Ham soup. We both moved on to the Shrimp and Mixed Greens Chopped Salad with tomatoes, squash, croutons, cucumber and Cilantro-Lime Vinaigrette. I enjoyed the warm Peach Strudel for dessert. During lunch, we left Pt. Pleasant for Maysville, KY. In the afternoon, there was a reception for Eagle Society members, which was about half the boat. We received white baseball caps as mementos. We both took naps before our Riverlorians held a Q&A on the Ohio River in the Sky Lounge. Cocktails were served, again, at 1730 with dinner an hour later. Lew started with the Caesar Style Salad with Asiago Cheese Crisp, Olive Oil and Marinated Anchovies and I had the Blackened Catfish Gumbo. She advanced to the Caramelized Onion-Barbecued Mignonette of Salmon with Andouille Sweet Potato Hash and Sauteed Spinach and I enjoyed the Braised Short Rib of Beef with mashed potatoes and sautéed broccoli. We skipped dessert as the left bank changed from West Virginia to Kentucky. Lew went on to the evening entertainment of “A Tribute to Frank Sinatra.” We were both down for the night around 2230.
