Our eighth cruise with American Cruise Lines is down the Ohio River from Pittsburgh to St. Louis.

At 0630, it’s 72 with light rain in Cincinnati, OH.
After breakfast, I applied for our cruise on the Upper Mississippi, with Patsy in July, 2019 and our Canadian Maritime Cruise on Pearl Mist in September, 2019.
Lunch was Crispy Fried Green Tomato Salad of Bacon Marmelade and Pimiento Cheese for Lew, while mine started with New Orleans Chicken and Andouille Gumbo for me.
She moved on to a Galley Steak Sandwich with pickled onions, potato salad, tomatoes and bleu cheese mayo while I had a pulled Braised Pork Shoulder with white beans, bacon and onion marmalade.
After lunch, our Upper Mississippi Cruise with Patsy was confirmed.
Following 1730 cocktails, dinner started with Creole Gulf Shrimp with Lemon Risotto and bell pepper slaw for Lew, and Roasted beets with oranges and herbed goat cheese for me.
She moved on to the BBQ Atlantic Salmon with chipotle grits, creamed corn with shrimp, and red bean salsa while I had the Braised Osso Bucco Lamb shank with whipped sweet potatoes and roasted root vegetables.
We both finished with lemon meringue pie.
The baseball game of Pittsburgh at Cincinnati was rained out, so the fireworks display went off of the barge 200 yards astern.
At 2100, it’s 67 and Lew went to bed with the sliding glass door open to the Ohio River.
