Our eighth cruise with American Cruise Lines is down the Ohio River from Pittsburgh to St. Louis.

The alarm was set for 0540, but I was up at 0500. We finished packing and went to the 1st deck forward where our taxi awaited. The gangway was in place and we departed at 0630. At 70 mph, the trip to the airport was quick. Checkin and TSA were easy and we had breakfast tacos and Bloody Maries at Chili’s. We boarded and pushed back early. We were wheels up on 30L at 0902. I had a drink and we both napped as we crossed back into Eastern Daylight Time, landing on 27R at 1145. Remaining in the “F” terminal we walked from F4 to F38 for the 2 hour wait for the Salisbury flight. We boarded early and then waited when the pushback truck wouldn’t start. We then taxied to 27L and circled back when our departure fix was storm-involved. We finally departed at 1450, 42 minutes late and still beat the scheduled arrival time. We stopped at Adkins market for some veggies and then picked up Buddy. We were home at 1626.
