Our regular seats at the sushi counter were occupied, so we were seated down at the other end, where we were served by Osirus, who was not very efficient.
We learned that Gary, though absent tonight, still has not retired.
We started with a Tanqueray Martini (11.50) for Lew and a Maker’s Mark Manhattan (12.25) for me that took some 20 minutes to arrive.
Lew selected a Carrot-Ginger Soup (15) of Miso, Carrot shortbread and pickled pearl onions.
She moved on to the Cheese Board (22) and a glass of Faust Cabernet (22) and I added Tuna Three Ways (29) of Sesame Tuna Tataki, Matzu Sauce, Spicy Tuna Sesame Hand Roll and Shiso Pistou dressed Tuna.
We secured our check and paid before the fireworks started and all the wait staff disappeared.
