We're scheduled to be on the river all day, cruising from Hannibal, MO to Davenport, IA.
|
|
At 0200, we passed through a thunderstorm.
At 0600. I was up.
Patsy has elected to sleep in.
Soon after, we docked in Fort Madison and were greeted by a large numer of townsfolk, along with a brass band.
We had breakfast, sans Patsy and I added sausage to yesterday’s breakfast and Lew had Eggs Benedict.
I adjourned to the Sky Lounge, Deck 4, aft, to work on the website.
Soon, Brett, an ACL VP came through with the local sheriff and we chatted.
Soon thereafter, a local reporter came through as well.
Lew joined me and we relaxed until noon when we headed down for lunch, where Patsy was already in place.
Following a brief nap, I went to the Eagle Society Reception where ballcaps were distributed.
At 3, we departed for Davenport, IA.
Patsy joined for the Bingo games that followed, but we didn’t win anything.
I put out our place cards for dinner before cocktails at 5:30. We had the regular gang for dinner.
The ladies went on to the evening entertainment and I return to the room. At 2145, it’s 74 and we are underway to Davenport, IA.
