Tom selected Masa for Thursday's lunch out.
Lyd started with glasses of Kendall Jackson Cabernet (10) while I had Iced Tea (3).
We both picked Masa Special Rolls. Lyd selected
Kamakazi (13) Inside: spicy crunchy crab, cream cheese, cucumber and avocado, outside: mango, apple;
Pink Lady (13) Inside: shrimp, spicy crabmeat, mango, flying fish roe, tempura flakes, outside: pink soy bean sheet; and
Sweet Heart (13) Inside: shrimp tempura, avocado, outside: spicy crab, tempura flakes.
I picked Miso Soup (NC) and
Hang Over (15) Inside: soft shell crab, cucumber and cream cheese. outside: spicy crunchy salmon with eel sauce;
Hot Lady Roll (16) Inside: smoked salmon, eel, cucumber, avocado topped with jalapeño, yellowtail, masago, scallion, hot sauce and eel sauce; and
Newport Roll (15) Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, mix green, cucumber wrapped in rice paper with tartar sauce.
Lyd’s 2nd glass of wine slipped, and I ended up wearing it.
We took half the sushi home,
