The Plan:
In Georgian Bay, we should arrive at Parry Sound, ON, around 1130 and be here until 2000 when we will head for Midland, ON, arriving at 0800, Friday.
We plan on taking The Three Hour Island Queen & Parry Sound Cruise.
|
At 0640, it’s 70o, 3 hours west of Parry Sound.
At 0700, we went down to breakfast to an almost empty dining room.
Lyd had Eggs Benedict, and I had blueberry waffles.
We returned to the room, and the boat arrived, and anchored, in Parry Sound, at 1000.
Lunch was served early, due to the tender schedule.
Lyd had broccoli and cheddar soup and the grilled cajun chicken sandwich, while I had the fruit cocktail, broccoli & cheddar soup and Pan-fried Sole Almondine.
We both finished with the Boston Cream Pie.
We took the tender ride from our anchorage and boarded the Island Queen for a 3-hour tour of the 30,000 island in Georgian Bay.
It was a good tour, just 2 hours too long.
We came back to the Pearl Mist, in the tender, just as it started to sprinkle.
I took us out of the excursions we had scheduled for tomorrow.
We went to the Pacific Lounge where they were offering a beer tasting.
We skipped the beers and had our normal cocktails before returning, briefly, to the room.
Whereas we already had drinks, we skipped the cocktail hour and went straight to dinner at 1730.
I forgot my phone, so there are no pictures of dinner.
Lyd started with the Truffle-flavored Parsnip Soup and followed with the Baked Chicken Parmigiana.
I started with the escargot, followed by the soup and then the Veal Medallions.
We returned to the room and watched a few episodes of BBT.
We were underway at 1900, headed for Midland, ON.
At 2030, it’s 73o and we have the verandah door open, again.
