The ingredients and proportions are totally a matter of taste. For non-drinkers, even the vodka is optional.
The proportions become less important with each succeeding round
Some recipes rim the glass with celery salt, celery seed, or Old Bay. Some insert a celery stick, and one local restaurant adds two small shrimp.
This is one of those drinks where more "stuff" is not always a good thing.
