SCONES 2
Margaret thought the scones at 213 might be made with pie crust, Lyd decided to try this.
Ingredients:
2 Pillsbury Pie Crusts
1/2 stick Land O' Lakes sweet butter, softened
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
Dried Fruit
Chopped Nuts
Cinnamon
Nutmeg, Ground
Cloves, Ground
Procedures:
Roll out the crusts, thinly.
Combine the butter and sugar and spread on top of one of the crusts.
Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
Cover the 1st crust with the 2nd. Cut into 3" squares and then cut the squares into triangles.
Notes:
2009-02-06: This was an improvement, but the scones were a little flaky, not expected in a scone.
