Brown Sugar Bourbon Bundt Cake

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
16 oz. brown sugar
5 eggs
5 oz evaporated milk
1/2 cup bourbon
3 cups flour
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
I T vanilla
2 T powdered sugar
Procedures:
Beat butter and shortening at med. speed till creamy. Gradually add brown sugar, beat on med speed till light and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beat till just blended after each one.
Stir evaporated milk and bourbon in small bowl.
Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in another bowl.
Add flour mixture to butter mixture, alternately with milk mixture. Begin and end with flour. Beat on low just till blended after each addition.
Stir in vanilla. Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 325o for 1 hour and 10 minutes, till tooth pick comes out clean. Cool in pan 10-15 min.
Remove and cool 1 hour, dust top with con. Sugar
Notes:
2023-12-17: This did not work at all. It's more of a bread than a cake. Possibly needed more sugar. 2012-10-19: Added to the cookbook.
