Maker's Mark Whiskey Cake
An adaptation of the Bacardi Rum Cake
Ingredients:
Cake
1 Cup Finely-chopped pecans
1 Package Yellow cake mix (2-layer size)
1 Package Vanilla instant pudding mix (4 serving size)
4 Eggs
½ Cup Cold water
½ Cup Vegetable oil
½ Cup Maker's Mark™ Bourbon Whiskey
Glaze
1 Cup Sugar
½ Cup Butter
¼ Cup Water
½ Cup Maker's Mark™ Bourbon Whiskey
Procedures:
Sprinkle nuts evenly over bottom of greased and floured 10” tube pan.
Combine cake mix, pudding, eggs, water, oil and bourbon in large mixing bowl.
Blend, then beat for two minutes at medium speed.
Bake at 325o for 75 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly pressed.
Cool in pan for 15 minutes.

Combine sugar, butter and water in saucepan.
Boil 5 minutes, stirring.
Remove from heat and stir in bourbon and just bring back to boil.
Remove cake from pan.
Prick it with cake tester and spoon glaze over cake.
