CHICKEN DIVAN
From the kitchen of Lois Winesett.
Ingredients:
4 cups Cooked cut up chicken pieces
12 oz bag of broccoli florets
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 pt sour cream
1 Cup mayo
1.5 Cup sharp cheddar, shredded [divided]
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon sherry
1 teaspoon curry powder
S and p
Grated Parm
Butter bits
Procedures:
Cook broccoli to tender crisp. Drain.
Mix soup, sour cream, mayo, grated cheddar, lemon juice And seasonings
Layer broccoli in 3 quart casserole
Layer chicken pieces over broccoli
Sprinkle with parm
Pour sauce over all
Sprinkle with more cheddar
Dot with butter
Bake 30 - 40 minutes at 350o .
Notes:
2022-01-21: we used a bag of broccoli florets, and one can of soup. Cheddar was in the mix and on the top. No butter, no paprika, no curry
2020-06-28: The second can of soup produced too much sauce; good for company, but not for the two of us.
2019-09-07: A batch for the two of us.
2018-03-25: An excellent batch for the two of us, using only 1 can of soup.
2017-03-15: served with roasted pears and blue cheese.
