CHICKEN LIVERS |

Ingredients: |
1 pound chicken livers
1 yellow onion
1/2 pound bacon
2 Tablespoons Sherry
Flour
Sour Cream
|
|
Procedures: |
Cook the bacon to the desired doneness.
Slice the onion and saute in the bacon fat.
Wash and pick the livers.
Coat the livers with flour and fry in the bacon fat until crisp.
Drain on paper towels.
Deglaze the pan with the Sherry.
Serve with sour cream added to the sauce

2023-10-03: Served with whole berry cranberry sauce.
2023-06-14: An excellent batch was made with bacon and served with a side of apple filling and a bottle of Riesling.
2023-01-27: Served with scalloped apples and a gewurtz.
2021-02-13: Served with carrot soufflé and a bottle of Pinotage.
2019-11-24: Not marinated; served with coleslaw.
