CRAB NORFOLK 20140329
This comes from the late Victor Laws.
Ingredients:
1/2 Stick Butter
3 T Dry Sherry
Dash of Cayenne Pepper
Dash of Tabasco
1/2 t Old Bay
1 lb. Maryland Jumbo Lump Blue Crab
Procedures:
Carefully pick through the crab and remove shell and cartilage.
Melt the butter until bubbly
Add the sherry, Tabasco and Old Bay and Cayenne.
Add the crab, toss gently, and heat through.
Notes:
2024-04-05: Served with Rosemary ham, corn muffins, and a bottle of Gewuztraminer.
2021-03-05: A great batch served with corn bread, peas and a bottle of Barefoot Riesling.
2020-09-06: An excellent batch, we replaced the Cream Sherry with Dry Sherry.
2019-06-12: This did not work! Whether ingredients or technique, we feel the crab just wasn’t very good.
2009-07-25: added to our cookbook.
