Normally done on a Friday! Choose vegetables that are in season. |

Ingredients: |
Peanut Oil
Tempura Batter Mix AND/OR
Beer Batter Mix
Shrimp
green/yellow squash
butternut squash
sweet onion, sliced into rings.
sweet potato
Asparagus

Procedures: |
Heat the peanut oil in a large Dutch oven or wok to 350o.
Fry the veggies not coated in batter first, salting when they come out of the oil.

Notes: |
2024-06-27: A veggie “fry-day,” we did onion rings, eggplant, asparagus, parsnips, sweet potato chips, and green squash. We included a bottle or Relax Riesling, of course.
2023-06-09: Shrimp, green squash,sweet potato, red potato and 12 shrimp. The shrimp was done in dry crumbs, the onions in wet batter and the other veggies in no batter. The Vidalia was best, followed by the potatoes.
