Teriyaki Salmon
This is our attempt at replicating the Hibachi Salmon prepared by Cindy at Sakura, Japan Restaurant.
Ingredients:
1 pound Fresh Red Salmon
1/4 cup water
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon Corn Starch
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
1 Teaspoon sesame seeds
Optional Sides:
Stir fry veggies
Rice
Fried Rice
Procedures:
Slice the salmon laterally into thin slices.
Combine the remaining ingredients into a sauce.
Dip each piece of salmon in the sauce and saute, slowly, being careful not to break up the pieces.
Notes:
2022-02-05: We skinned and cubed, but it was very difficult to skin. We served over white rice with broccoli florets
2022-01-05: We cubed the salmon, removing the skin in the process and then, sautéed in the sauce. Served with papardelle noodles and scalloped apples. Next time, we’ll cube smaller.
2017-09-11: two pieces of salmon were sliced, laterally, dipped in the sauce and sautéed. They were served with General Tso's Sugar Snap Peas. We had intended to add Fried Rice, but didn't.
