Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Ingredients:
4 Garlic Cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
2 pounds NY Strip Steak
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 stick unsalted butter
Mushrooms
Procedures:
Mince 4 garlic cloves. Transfer to a bowl and add 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. Chop until you have 1/4 fresh parsley leaves, then transfer to a small bowl. Cut 2 pounds NY Strip steak into 1" cubes, then season it with 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
Melt 1 stick unsalted butter in a large skiller over medium high-heat. Add the steak cubes and sear until browned, flipping them halfway through, 6-8 minutes total. Add the garlic and pepper and cook for 1 minute more. Remove from the heat and garnish with the parsley.
Notes:
2022-12-02: Made from a pair of NY strips and served with German Potato Salad, corn, and Pinotage.
2021-04-24: A large filet mignon was trimmed and cut into cubes. Less than the specified amount of meat, we reduced the garlic and butter, but should have kept them at the higher amounts. 1/2 pound of mushrooms were added and sautéed first. S&P were needed.
2019-10-11: We used a filet mignon pair and served over buttered noodles, with broccoli. This was an easy and good dinner.
