SHRIMP STOCK
|
|
|
For years, like most folks, after the shrimp get peeled, those shells get put in a plastic bag for quick removal.
If they sit in the garage waiting for garbage day they'll start to smell.
We hit upon a recipe to turn that garbage into something useful. |
|
Ingredients: |
4 Cups | Water |
| Shrimp Shells |
|
Procedures: |
In a large saucepan, combine the water and shells and bring to a rapid boil.
Boil for about an hour or until the liquid is reduced by half.
Strain out the shells. (Yes, NOW they are garbage.)
The stock can be frozen.
