Cream of Crab Soup
Ingredients
3 T Margarine
1/4 cup flour
3 cups 1/2 'n 1/2
1 lb Jumbo Lump crab
1 Tablespoon Old Bay
2 ribs celery
1/4 t celery salt
1 yellow onion, diced
1.5 t chicken bullion powder
1 t Worcestershire
dash lemon juice
Procedures:
Combine 1st 3 ingredients to make white sauce.
Sauté onions & celery in butter until clear.
Add everything but the crab and lemon juice and heat through.
Add crab and lemon juice and heat.
Notes:
2026-01-14: to the freezer
2025-01-21: We made a double batch with an entire can of crab, adding a bit of Tabasco.
2016-12:22: For the annual Holiday Oyster Festival.
2014-05-26: A Memorial Day course with steamed crabs.
Prior to 2009-08-22, we had two recipes and there were good parts to both recipes.
