Spinach Crisps |
 |
|
Abbott's Restaurant in Laurel recently opened.
We visited and enjoyed the hummus and crisps they served in place of bread.
This is our version. |
|
Ingredients: |
1 package garden spinach wraps
Peanut Oil
Salt
|
|
Procedures: |
Fill a Dutch Oven with 3" of peanut oil and heat to 350o.
Cut the wraps into pie wedges.
Fry in small batches.
Re-fry to achieve crispness
Salt when they come out of the oil.

Notes: |
2018-10-21: We cut the stack of wraps into eighths and individually fried them. They came out a bit chewy and were neither salted nor crisp.
2014-05-05: We made the first batch with Chicken Fingers to justify making such a large fry mess.
