Sausage Mushroom Quiche
Ingredients:
1 lb pork sausage
1 lb mushrooms
3 eggs
1 cup 1/2 & 1.2
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1 small onion, diced
1 pie crust (We prefer Pillsbury)
Procedures:
Brown the sausage, mushrooms and onions
Add the parsely
In a large bowl, beat the eggs, cream, cheese, and salt.
Pour into sausage,mushroom,onion mixture and blend well.
Pour mixture into pie shell.
Bake in a preheated 400o oven for 30 minutes.
Notes:
2023-09-04: Our first attempt. Baked 15 minutes at 425 and then 35 minutes at 325. This didn’t work well. We served it with baby limas and a bottle of Dr. Loosen Riesling and they both overshadowed the quiche. If we make this again, we will cut the sausage in half and add some kind of cheese - - a disappointment.
