Ingredients: |
1 lb Fresh Brussels Sprouts
1 stick butter
S&P
|
|
Procedures: |
Cut the base from the Brussels' Sprouts.
Half the smaller sprouts and quarter the larger ones.
[Optional] Save the loose leaves for frying.
Place the butter in the bottom of a microwave safe bowl and pile the cut sprouts on top, adding S&P.
Microwave at a setting that covers the sprouts in the melted butter, but does not cause the butter to boil over the top of the bowl.
Microwave until the sprouts are tender. [In our microwave, using the dish I customarily use, 9 minutes at 70% power works well.]

Notes: Brussels' Sprouts are often thought of as bitter. This recipe removes the bitterness while preserving the nutty flavor. |
