Green Bean Casserole
A classic we finally put in our cookbook.
Ingredients:
2 pounds cut green beans (fresh better than canned)
1 tablespoon BTB chicken
1 cup french fried onions, divided
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup 1/2 & 1/2
1 teaspoon soy sauce
2 Tablespoons Mayo
Procedures:
Preheat oven to 350o
Cook the beans in the BTB & Water.
In a large mixing bowl, add the remaining ingredients and 1/2 cup of the fried onions. Stir to combine
Pour the mixture into a 9x9" baking dish and spread out
Bake for 20 minutes, Stir
Sprinkle evenly with the remaining 1/2 cup onions. Bake for 10 more minutes.
Notes:
2024-03-26: A batch served with Crab Imperial, with a some to the freezer.
2023-11-29: Lyd added 2T of Mayo and 2T of 1/2 & 1/2 and substituted Worcestershire for the soy sauce.
2023-08-26: Lyd added 1/2 cup 1/2 & 1/2, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of BTB chicken and cooked until tender crisp.
2023-07-20: A side served to SKDL with a beef rib roast.
2020-07-22: Added to our cookbook.
