Wine Kraut |
Sauerkraut is not very popular. We created this version, which goes very well with
Weiner Schnitzel, (shown here).
This is much sweeter than regular kraut. I use the kind without caraway seeds.
Ingredients: |
1 lb. Fresh Sauerkraut (Use kraut from the deli or the meat department, not the canned stuff.)
1 Cup Port
Procedures: |
Drain the sauerkraut.
Rinse well to get rid of all the brine.
Add the Port
Chill for several hours
Serve cold, or microwave until warm, stirring frequently.
