Thanksgiving 2007

We secured Audrey just before 10:00 at Atrium and brought her back to the house for Thanksgiving dinner.
While we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, we started with smoked oysters and crackers and some of the cheese straws we made yesterday.
Perdue Cornish Hens were the main course. Each roasts about an hour and a half and had a nice crispy skin.
Lyd's Sausage and Corn Bread Stuffing was augmented by gravy she made from stewing the giblets from the Cornish Hens.

Brandied Yams Red Cabbage Cranberry Sauce Peas & Onions
We baked! For dessert we had our Lemon Squares!

Then it was time to clean up the kitchen.

Our lovely neighbor, Christy Miller, invited us over for dessert with her family and the O'Briens.
