We all left the room just before 0900 and arrived at EPCOT at 0930.
We went straight to the Living Seas and Nico had a wonderful time.
We watched a Dolphin training show and then decided to try the Coral Reef Restaurant for a light lunch.
Our old friend Eddie Mendoza from Citricos is the Sous Chef at Coral Reef and it is decidedly better than our last visit there.
He visited with us for a while and recommended the Mussels, which I chose.
Lyd had a glass of sparkling wine (10) and the Appetizer for 2 and Sea and Land.
Sal also had the Appetizer for 2.
Kate had the Sea and Land and a Caesar Salad.
Nico had the Sea and Land.
I had the Lobster Soup and the Steamed Mussels.
After lunch, we had a character encounter with Chip and Dale and then went on to Imagination where Nico played in the water effects.
We went through Journey into Imagination and Nico's grandmother bought him a Figment (of your Imagination) as we did when Kate was little and went to WDW.
From there it was back to the room for naptime.
Dinner is back to our favorite, California Grill!
Our reservation at the California Grill was at 1800.
Gary was out and Bridget was working a convention in another part of the hotel, so Jenny, an original for 15 years at the CG was our server.
Lyd had a pair of Skye Vodka Martinis (7.50).
Kate asked for a house Riesling, so Jenny brought her three from which to choose: Schloss Walthausen Kabinet, Nahe ’07 (12), Angoves Clare Valley ’06 (13), and Selbach-Oster Bernkasteler Badstube ’08 (14) and Kate chose the latter.
I chose a Maker’s Mark Manhattan (9.25) followed by a Golden Gate, a drink invented at the California Grill to celebrate their 15th anniversary (13).
Lyd chose the Roasted Heirloom Beets starter and a California Roll.
Kate had the Dungeness Crab Salad, a California Roll and a Double Crunch Rainbow Roll.
Nico had chicken from the kid’s menu with lots of other stuff from surrounding plates.
Sal had the Hearts of Romaine, followed by the Oak-fired Filet of Beef.
Tom also had the Romaine Salad and then the Maku No Uchi.
After dinner, Bridget was able to break free from her other duties and dropped by for a visit.
It took a long time to get the check as Jenny had an issue with another table that had to be resolved.
To make amends, she presented us with 4 slabs of chocolate cake, to go. It was a nice evening.
