Our first stay at the Disney Vacation Club at Bay Lake Tower (BLT) at the Contemporary Hotel at Disney World was a dedicated two-bedroom apartment overlooking Bay Lake.
This was Nico's first visit to WDW, and his first plane flight.
This was quite an adventure for a two-year-old and for his parents and grandparents, as well.
We were resolved that we were doing this FOR him, not TO him.
We had all kinds of plans for what we were going to do when the inevitable "melt down," common to two-year-olds, suddenly exploded in a multi-star restaurant.
Those plans will have to be shelved or shared with others, as we never used them.
Aside from one or two high-magnitude shrieks (stopping conversations in a three dining table radius) the little guy was as good as gold.
He learned the difference between a train and a monorail. He likes big round buttons that open doors (even those already automatically opened by motion sensors).
He runs to the window at the sound of a Bay Lake boat horn.
He eats everything! Some places we thought we might go are here, but most will have to wait for next time, when he's older. GOAL: Do this every two years! Timeline | |||
