3/25/2011
This Sunday is the 4th Sunday of the month, so there is not church. Whereas Bon Appétit is not open for lunch on Sundays, Margaret has elected to take the five of us to Seaford on Friday, instead. For some reason, we were assigned to a table which had a rather prominent throne which ended up being my chair for lunch. Lyd, Margaret and Victor all had French Onion Soup (5.25), though only Lyd had cheese on hers. I had the pickled herring for an appetizer. Lyd, Margaret and Victor also had the baked Oysters in pastry (14.95). Elaine chose Eggs Benedict (9.25). I was interested in the Shrimp Scampi, but as it comes with tails on, I picked, instead, a burger (8.95). Margaret, our hostess, decided we would all have dessert (5.25). Lyd had Profiterole [Crème Puff filled with vanilla ice cream, topped with Chocolate Sauce]. Margaret had Lemon Mousse Cake [Lemon genoise topped with lemon mousse, served with strawberry sauce]. Victor selected the raspberry sorbet. Elaine picked the Chocolate Mousse [Traditional rich chocolate mousse served in a brandy snifter with whipped cream]. Tom had a slice of Key Lime Pie in a graham cracker crust.
