AMERICAN CRUISE LINES
Mississippi River Cruise
|< <<< Friday, Mar 8 >>> >|
We're sailing to and from New Orleans, aboard the "Queen of the Mississippi" on our 2nd cruise with American Cruise Lines.
At 0555, it’s 43 and a little foggy on the Mississippi River, headed downriver towards Oak Alley, LA, having sailed at 0100. We had a light breakfast in the 4th deck lounge, skipping breakfast in the dining salon. At 0900, we went ashore on the bow ramp and walked over the levee. We sailed at 1130, downriver, headed for New Orleans. Chef Eric gave a tour of the galley. I played 3 other passengers in Rummikub; we dressed for dinner and went down for cocktails at 1730. On the way back to the room, we took note of the new little girls coming aboard as steward replacements. I went down for the last entertainment of the cruise, the Victory Belles.
