We returned to Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort Convention Center for the 29th Commissioner's Academic Challenge, Tom's 17th.

With the competition finished, we left the room around 8 headed for the Animal Kingdom by bus. When we arrived, at my questions, a security guard directed us to a ticket window to activate our renewed annual passes. There we encountered Amy and her trainee, Gary, sporting his “Earning My Ears” ribbon. He was new and renewing annual passes by voucher is not a rudimentary task. His enthusiasm was without limit as he patiently worked his way through the task and explained it to me at the same time. Such enthusiasm earned them both a spot on our Pixie Dust List. Our first stop was Killamanjaro Safari and Ben, the driver/guide of Simba 1. His delivery was particularly good and earned him a slot on our Pixie Dust List. We then walked around through Asia and down toward DinoLand. We had FastPass+ for Finding Nemo, The Musical. This was an entertaining show with actors carrying fish puppets, in the manner of the Broadway production of the Lion King. Several of the characters “swam” (flew) and others raced through the audience. From there, we headed back to Asia and Yak & Yeti. We left lunch just before 1300 headed for Downtown Disney. Well, you can’t get a bus from Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney. So, we took a bus first to Animal Kingdom Lodge and transferred to another bus. This driver was full gas to full break turning the ride into a sort of roller coaster. It took an hour to reach Pleasure Island and we were 15 minutes late arriving at the AMC Theatre for the D23 presentation. We enjoyed 75 minutes of old movie clips of Walt Disney and the creation of many portions of the Disney experience. From there we took a bus back to Bay Lake Tower. We left the room at 1830, headed for the California Grill.
